How long are the worship services?
Sometimes they are shorter or slightly longer, but an average worship service on Sunday morning lasts 90 minutes. Our Sunday Night Prayer lasts around one hour.
What should I expect during the service?
Expect a miracle! During every worship service we believe for the Spirit of God to appear and touch the lives of God’s people. We do have a format that includes singing and preaching, receiving the tithe and offerings (money given by members) and giving people an opportunity to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. People lift their hands, and they may even shout a healthy “amen” during the message. At times we pray together as a congregation or have people come forward to receive prayer.
What is the music like?
Watch this video from our 2011 Back To School service to get a glimpse of our praise and worship. However, it’s much better in person!
Does Family Worship Center believe I can be forgiven for my bad deeds, no matter what?
Yes. All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, but God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that anyone who believes in Him should live eternally.
Does Family Worship Center believe I can “speak in tongues?”
Absolutely! The promise of the Holy Spirit and subsequent speaking in an unknown tongue is a biblical promise to you, your children, and your children’s children. If this is something you don’t understand, see Pastor Steve or his representative at the platform after service. They will be there to answer questions and offer prayer.
Does Family Worship Center believe God creates devastation, kills people and brings hardship into the lives of people for His divine purposes?
No! The word of God teaches us clearly in the bible that every good and perfect gift comes from God. It is Satan (a dark angel cast from heaven) who steals, kills, and destroys. “God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to bring abundant life to all of us.” We like to explain it this way: If it’s good, it’s God! If it’s bad, it’s Satan!
