History of FWC
On Sunday, March 5th, 2000, Pastor Steven T. McCartt cast the vision of Family Worship Center. “We are not in Florence to build another church on the strength of programs, but this church will be built on the freedom and power of the Holy Spirit.”
As people are attracted and brought into this environment of freedom, relationships with God and man are matured, and people are encouraged to submit their lives to the leading of the Spirit of God. This mission was stated to the group of people who attended the first service.
Since that time, our mission has not changed: to create a worship environment through a union of the Word of God and the Spirit of God that will stimulate a progressive Pentecostal community. As the church has grown and ministries have evolved, we have built, renovated and expanded to accommodate the growing congregation.
FWC Today

Family Worship Center Church is located at 3215 South Cashua Drive in Florence, South Carolina.
Family Worship Center currently has several weekly services reaching throughout Florence and the surrounding communities. During the week, people are involved in prayer and are working to create a relevant and passionate experience.
Family Worship Center exists to see lives changed, relationships restored, miracles received, and to inspire families to dream big dreams and do big things for the Kingdom of God. Every weekend is a new beginning for those needing a fresh start and a challenge to those working to fulfill God’s purpose for their life.
It is our commitment to attract seekers with a progressive, Pentecostal service, reach each member with the Word of God and the Spirit of God, and motivate our church community to influence the world.
