Music Ministry Agreement
FWC Music Ministry Mission and Purpose Statement:
To cultivate an atmosphere of worship that prepares the heart, soul, and mind for the word of God. To create an atmosphere that will encourage the body to worship so that God can inhabit our praises and manifest His presence.
Expectations:
- Live a Godly lifestyle.
- Attend FWC for 3 months (90 days) prior to joining.
- Support and submit to the vision of the Pastor.
- Support the church with your time, talents, resources, finances and abilities and adhere to the ordinances of the church (such as tithing, baptism and communion).
- Attend regular scheduled rehearsals (promptness is required).
- Participate in regular scheduled services when not ministering.
- All new members need to attend 3 consecutive rehearsals before being considered an active member of this ministry.
- Women and men must dress appropriately! No low cut blouses, modest hemlines below the knee, no high splits, or revealing attire, no shorts, or Capri shorts (dress pants are allowed). Men must have a dress shirt and pants, no sandals, jog suits, or shorts. No flip-flops, slippers or athletic shoes. Please wear dress shoes. (Furthermore, as directed, any and all changes and perfections given by Leadership will be required.)
- All members are required to give two weeks advance notice if they will not be able to attend scheduled rehearsals or services.
- All members must attend sound check and rehearsals ON-TIME (9:15am & 5:45pm / Tues. 6:30pm).
- Be respectful and courteous to leadership and each other. (Disrespect is NOT allowed, nor tolerated. Especially open disrespect.)
- You should abstain from any behavior that will cause your fellow brother or sister in Christ to stumble.
- Should you need to take a leave of absence, contact music leadership immediately.
- All members should be baptized in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues or actively seeking.
- Make sure you are actively practicing at home with www.planningcenteronline.com. When we come together, we should know the material; rehearsals are for review only.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:1-2
Requirements and Repercussive Actions:
- Faithful attendance is required! Members who are absent from two consecutive rehearsals, without proper notice, must attend two consecutive rehearsals to resume participation in ministry.
- Being prompt and on time is required. Members, who do not call Music Leadership when they are going to be late, will sit out a service after two infractions.
- If any of these things become continuous, we will set up a meeting to evaluate your dismissal.
I understand that I willfully agree to abide by and fulfill these requirements and expectations while exemplifying proper Christian behavior.
